Maximum income level to be eligible for IMV

By Royal Decree-Law 20/2020, of May 29 , the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) has been approved , coming into force on June 1, 2020. This is a benefit for the most vulnerable households.

What is the Minimum Vital Income?
This is a non-contributory benefit from Social Security that guarantees a minimum taiwan business mailing list income to those who lack it. It is a subjective right and will be received as long as certain access requirements are met.

Requirements
Be between 23 and 65 years old , or 18 years old if there are minors in your care.
Complete one year of legal residence in Spain.
Having lived independently for at least 1 year in the case of families and 3 years in the case of single people.
In the case of cohabitation units, they must have been formed at least 1 year prior to the application.
Having previously requested the benefits to which one may be entitled.

Access to the basic income will also depend exclusively on the income level and assets of the person requesting it. These requirements must be met at the time of submitting the application or at the time of requesting its review, and maintained when the resolution is issued and during the time of receiving the minimum vital income.

Special circumstances will also be considered for groups such as victims of trafficking, sexual exploitation or gender violence , who will prove this status through a report issued by the services that care for them or by public social services.

The monthly amount of the minimum vital income benefit that corresponds to the individual beneficiary or the cohabitation unit will be determined by the difference between the amount of the guaranteed income and the total of all the income and earnings of the beneficiary or the members that make up that cohabitation unit from the previous year.

Guaranteed income is considered to be:

a) In the case of an individual beneficiary, the guaranteed monthly income amount will be 100% of the annual amount of non-contributory pensions set annually in the general state budget law, divided by twelve.

b) In the case of a cohabitation unit, the monthly amount of letter a) will be increased by 30% for each additional member starting with the second member up to a maximum of 220%.


(c) The monthly amount established in letter b) shall be supplemented by a single-parent supplement equivalent to 22% of the amount established in letter a) in the event that the cohabitation unit is single-parent. For the purposes of determining the amount of the benefit, a single-parent cohabitation unit shall be understood to be one made up of a single adult with one or more minor children with whom he or she lives, or one or more minors in permanent foster care or custody for adoption purposes in his or her care, when he or she is the sole breadwinner of the cohabitation unit.

Therefore, the maximum monthly income must be less than 462 euros in the case of an adult living alone and is increased by another 139 euros per month for each additional person, adult or minor, living in the household unit up to a maximum of 1,015 euros per month .
