Remember that first we make a prototype, and only then a finished product. This allows us to avoid unnecessary costs in case the target audience does not accept any characteristics of the product.

Example

So, you and I are the owners of a flower shop. Our target audience is married men aged 30–45 who buy flowers exclusively on holidays. Their main problem is that they often forget about holidays or do not have free time to stop by for a bouquet. We generated many ideas, of which the following found a response from men: a holiday reminder, courier flower delivery, a personal account where the order history will be displayed, a bonus and discount system.

It will take us 10-20 minutes slovenia email list to create a prototype, it does not have to be perfect. Our task is to get quality feedback on it and take all the comments into account during further testing.

We have a prototype that represents a description of the customer experience when working with a mobile application.

The customer experience is presented in the form of pictures. First, the customer registers in the application. Then, from the list of their contacts, they mark those they want to congratulate and on what holidays. They can choose how many days in advance to receive a reminder of the date. At the set time, the customer receives a notification and bouquet options. After the gift is given, the customer can indicate what they liked and what needs to be changed.

Step 6. Testing
Testing

The type of thinking used: convergent (qualitative).

Time required: minimum 60 minutes per person, requires testing 10 or more representatives of the target audience segment.

Required tools: notepad, pen, prototypes, representatives of the target audience.

Additional tools: voice recorder, video camera. It would be ideal to conduct testing in a place where the product will be used in real life.

We need the testing stage to get feedback on the prototype. We ask the client how he likes the resulting product. Sometimes it happens that he is quite satisfied with the idea of the product itself, but the prototype has certain shortcomings. This mostly concerns new products released to the market.

For example, you've probably heard that robots are ready to replace medical staff in hospitals, but you're unlikely to trust this iron creature to take blood from your finger or vein.

Testing should be done in a real environment. For example, if you are opening a new restaurant, design a 3D model of the interior, use the aromas typical for this establishment, etc. If it is a new model of juicer, then testing is best done in a real kitchen.

Record (record and videotape) all human actions during the testing. Finally, you conduct a detailed analysis of the words and actions of all interviewed people. It may happen that they tell lies during testing, but their behavior will be quite eloquent.

This or that user will express their subjective opinion about this product to you. It cannot be true or false. Here you will have to determine which aspects influence the experience of using the product to be positive or negative.

The prototyping process should ideally be multi-layered, meaning that first there will be hand-drawn sketches, then a 3D mockup of the app, then a working prototype, and finally a working app.
