Optimizing Meta Data with SEO Plugin

Post by tongfkymm44 »

We can see that below the title of our entry we have the option to edit the permanent link, or in other words, change the URL. A URL will automatically be created with the title we previously included, but we always have the option of clicking on edit to give more prominence to the keywords or make the URL more user-friendly, that is, more understandable and easier for users to remember.

At the bottom of the post interface, we will notice that some text boxes have appeared that were not there before installing the plugin. They are used to enter the meta data for our post.

First, we see a preview of the Snippet , which is nothing more than the hotel email database appearance that our publication will have in search engines after filling in the following fields and publishing it.

Secondly, a box to enter the keywords for our entry. Here we can copy the list we made before starting to write, separating the keywords with commas.

Next, SEO Title , which by default will show us the title we have put in the entry followed by a hyphen and our domain. It may happen that our title is too long and we get a warning telling us that it will not be shown in full. We simply have to write it in a shorter way, without eliminating the keyword and re-enter the hyphen followed by our domain or brand. In total it should not exceed 56 characters, counting the spaces.

Finally, Meta Description , where we will introduce a brief description of the content of our publication using the keywords again. Finally, we can introduce an exclamation point or a call to action. In total, it should not exceed 156 characters, including spaces.

We can always check the preview at the top to see the final result of our metadata.

Post entry and social networks
With this last step, our post is ready to be published. We can mark a category that fits the theme of our post or, if it doesn't exist, create one by clicking on "Add a category". We can also assign a featured image from those we have added previously if necessary.

Now you know all the steps you need to follow to publish optimized posts in WordPress, all that's left is to practice and remember that it's important to share your posts on all your social networks so that your contacts visit you, value you and share your work. Go ahead!
