I remember one day I received a call from DataIQ with a proposal: I wasn't looking for a change but I spoke to my leader (who is also a friend) and he told me it was a great opportunity and it really was.
2. Tell us a little about your experience at DataIQ: What was your first job like? Are you still working with the same team?
I remember that when I arrived at DataIQ there were very few of us, there was not even a bathroom for women. I still have in my head the image of a large work table where there were only 3 colleagues. I started at DataIQ in December: I will never forget it. I remember that the holidays were coming up, it was that typical week between celebrations with many holidays so I did not have much time to catch up but I was able to do it quickly. Luckily I always had someone to count on. In January I was already working on my first project at QlikView. I was lucky enough to go through many projects and I am grateful for that since it allowed me to continue getting to know the different consultants.
3. Tell us about your current position: what does a Senior BI Consultant do at DataIQ?
I am currently taking my first steps as a Senior Consultant. Many people accompanied me in the last stage so that I could advance and today be promoted.
I think that I not only learned from Qlik but they also singapore phone number lead helped me to gradually exploit my soft skills, which took me a while to develop, so a large part of this was teamwork and I am grateful that they believed in me.
4. How do you continue to acquire knowledge every day?
I am constantly learning, there is always something new. Not only about Qlik but also about team relationships and especially in this time of pandemic and quarantine that we have to go through.
5. What challenges do you face in this position?
I think that this brings with it more responsibilities: I was already working on them but the time has come to let go and deal with it individually.
6. What made Data IQ the right place for you?
Even though contact is not frequent, I know that I always have someone to count on when I need it. So on the one hand, the people who make DataIQ. The possibility they give me to continue growing, that they are interested in our needs and where we want to go.
7. Any random information about you
? I'm a fan of physical activity hahaha. Anyone who knows me knows that if I was ever on your team, I would encourage people to move hahaha. Our work is so sedentary that doing some activity makes us start the day in a different way.
8. Favorite Data IQ Merchandise
The t-shirts! LOL Even my niece wants one! She already asked for one so I think they should send me another one LOL
9. Tips to stay sane during quarantine
In my case, I still get up early to train, then I shower and get dressed for work. This helps me think that I will be back soon.
10. What are you going to do once the quarantine is over?
I want to travel (I had never thought about this until now), prepare for the running races I have pending. I also want to see my friends, get together on a Sunday at the reserve and drink mate.
Adriana Castillo, passionate about running and data.
