Change access permissions in workgroups
When we bring users together in a project or workgroup to collaborate and complete projects, all communication and related data is in one place.
In other words, Working Groups function as a type of virtual community, created to discuss and resolve issues, and also to move forward with tasks.
Therefore, it is important to define the access permissions for these groups.
There are three levels of privacy:
Public: The group is visible to all employees. Any employee can join and view group details.
Private: The group is visible to all employees. Access is by invitation only.
Secret: No one can see this group in the list. You can join by invitation only.
From combinations of privacy levels, it is possible to create different types of groups (projects).
Each group or project has its own news feed, tasks, Drive files, and other resources that are made available to members.
After creating a group or project, you can always change its type and access permissions as well as the work tools. To do this, simply select the desired options.

Group (project) tool access configuration
Detailed configuration of access permissions to group tools can be found in About the workgroup (project) > Roles and permissions , or in About the workgroup (project) > Actions > Access permissions.

It is important to be very careful when configuring group access permissions. For example: in group task settings, the default is Permission to view all tasks: All group members. In other words, all group collaborators can see all group tasks. This can cause problems within the team, so permissions should always be adjusted.
The Bitrix24 administrator can view and manage all groups and projects in the company. And to do this, he must activate the administrator mode.
Please note: Connected users are those who have been added to a group or project as a member of a department. Connected users will not be able to leave the workgroup. In this case, they will only be able to leave the group or project if they leave the department.
