The structure of UBRR includes about 1.5 thousand offices, which are located in 46 regions of the Russian Federation. More than 6 thousand specialists work here.
Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development
The developers were faced with the task of ensuring the automation of routine operations using software robots, provided that the RPA technologies used were compatible with the bank’s existing platform.
The main objective of the lawyer database activity was to reduce the workload on the staff and create prerequisites for scaling back office operations taking into account the characteristics and requests of specific departments. At the same time, the information infrastructure of UBRR already at the initial stage included some necessary elements of the User Interface Kit. Thus, it can be said that this robotization was a continuation of the process that started earlier.
The implementation period for RPA technology in this case was about 18 months .
The scale of the bank and the tasks of integrating new solutions with existing robotic components led to testing the project for 6 months. When the testing and pilot projects were completed, the bank began industrial operation of the RPA platform and its implementation in all branches. This affected fiscal document flow and a number of operations with clients.
Software robots were able to perform duties that were previously performed by 27 full-time bank specialists. The time required to complete procedures was cut in half.
The number of RPA bots implemented in UBRD processes has doubled by 2021. At the same time, the bank has begun preparing for the robotization of the retail business. In parallel, solutions for processing unstructured data are being sought, which will allow solving a wider range of problems.
Robotization of accounting documentation processing at the enterprise "SOK Service Center RUS"
The company provides accounting support and a range of other services to the Finnish retail chain PRISMA and Sokos Hotels in the Russian Federation.
The aim of the project was to automate the accounting process through the implementation of software robots.
The ultimate goal was to free the company's employees from performing numerous routine operations and reduce the time it took to complete them.
The use of the RPA platform was expected to reduce the workload of employees and reduce the number of errors made.
The implementation period was about 6 months . The project was completed during the COVID-19 self-isolation period, but thanks to the active participation of the customer, it was successfully completed.
Now the RPA robot is responsible for operations with accounting documentation and can independently interact with the ERP system, compiles documents for accounting. Automated operations have become much faster. The number of inaccuracies in accounting turnover has significantly decreased.
It was possible to free up to 2 hours a day of working time for employees of this department, who were able to spend it on more complex business tasks.
The goals of automating business processes by implementing RPA technologies are often to reduce operating costs and increase the attractiveness of investments. It is important not to allow a biased attitude towards the results of robotization, especially since this solution can produce a positive effect quite quickly.
It is also necessary to evaluate the return on investment from RPA in the long term. Although there is no need to involve your company's IT specialists at the stage of familiarization with robotic technologies and at the stage of their implementation, we recommend involving them in these processes in order to obtain the maximum possible return in the future.
