These levels are hierarchical: the model level is the lowest and the item level is the highest. A format string defined at a higher level overrides a format string at a lower level. Because visual calculations are not in the model, they cannot have a format string at the model level, but they can have a format string at the visual or item level. Measures and columns can have format strings at all three levels.
The ability to configure format strings at the visual level makes it easy to get the exact formatting needed for your visualizations. This is just the first release of format strings at the visual level, and similar settings will be added at the model level soon.

Select and filter data: Choose and filter the data you want to include in your subscription. If you only want to send emails conditionally, use the “Filter” panel to adjust the data.
