As the Head of the Tambov region reported, in 2024 the size of the sown area remained at the level of last year - 1873 thousand hectares. At the same time, soybeans were sown by 36% more than last year, rapeseed and buckwheat - by 14%, and peas and corn - by 4 percent.

Farmers of the Tambov Region are actively preparing for the start of the harvesting campaign. As the Head of the Tambov Region reported, in 2024 the size of the sown area remained at the level of last year - 1873 thousand employment database hectares. Due to the bad weather that hit the region, farmers had to re-sow some fields with winter crops , peas, sugar beets, and rapeseed. Only a slight decrease in the harvest is expected this year. Thanks to the emergency regime, farmers in the region have already received 170 million rubles in insurance payments.
