Community of Madrid, El Corte Inglés and UIP: advertising investment on the internet in April

Arce Media presents, as every month, the “Internet Report” , an analysis of advertising investment on the Internet for the month of April 2023 in Spain. This month's ranking records a total of 5,719 brands with 23,135 creatives.

In April, and in the context of the electoral race for the regional and municipal elections , the Community of Madrid leads the list as the advertiser with the highest advertising investment on the Internet during the period analysed, with 3.72% of the total. It is followed by El Corte Inglés with 1.97%, and United International Pictures closes the top 3 with 1.71% of advertising investment on the Internet.

According to the Arce Media list , other advertisers such as the National bahamas number screening Cybersecurity Institute , INCIBE, are among those who invested the most in the Internet with 1.67%. For its part, the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 has 1.57% of the investment, Iberdrola with 1.55%, Nissan with 1.41%, Audi with 1.29%. Banco Santander (1.26%) and the General Directorate of Traffic, DGT, (1.25%) close the top 10.

By sectors, those that showed the greatest investment in April 2023 were: Public and Private Services, with a total of 1,004 brands and 3,436 creatives, Automotive with 197 brands and 1,800 creatives, and Distribution and Restaurants with 929 brands and 4,728 creatives.

Direct purchasing (73.70%) definitively triumphs over Programmatic purchasing (26.30%) in April 2023. For its part, the Display type (68.90%) overtakes Video (31.10%)

Websites with the highest advertising investment in April 2023
As for the websites that showed the greatest advertising investment throughout the month analyzed, YouTube once again leads the ranking, with an investment of 17.84%. It is followed by Facebook with 8.14% and the sports media Marca with 6.89%.

Other websites, such as El País (5.74%), AS (5.15%, El Mundo (4.18%), La Vanguardia (3.50%), ABC (2.51%), El Confidencial (2.50%) and Hola close the list with an investment of 2.38%.
