Streisand effect Technology becomes intimate

Post by Bappy10 »

Thanks to social media and smartphones, it has only become easier to share more of ourselves. We have indeed become obsessed with ourselves. It is no wonder that we are increasingly becoming spectators of our own experiences . Sharing in the digital world is more important than experiencing and being present in the physical world.

And the end of this process is not yet in sight. Now it is still a smartphone in our pocket or handbag, soon it will be Google Glass on our nose or an Apple iWatch on our wrist. Technology is getting closer to our skin. Technology also perceives more and more of latvia phone number list us, as can be seen in the graph above by Gartner analyst Mark Raskino. Technology is becoming intimate . For example, Motorola demonstrated a password pill a few weeks ago . A vitamin pill that contains a computer chip that makes it possible to transmit an 18-bit signal with which an individual can identify themselves. How intimate can technology be?

I wonder where it will end. The Streisand effect is no more. Google Street View put a stop to that a few years ago. You can also question the concept of privacy. PRISM is a disgrace, but on the other hand we sell our private data to Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Vine for free. Apparently we find it more important to show and share as much of ourselves as possible. We have all turned into Narcissus. The digital world is our mirror.

In the television era, Andy Warhol once said: “in the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes”. In the real-time era we live in now, it seems like everyone is famous. Everyone has their own '15 seconds of fame'. A question that gnaws at me is whether we will still be anonymous in the future?
