When migrating from Universal Analytics to GA 4 , we recommend , at least initially, not using the automatic migration option provided by Google.

This is simply because, as we've already seen, the differences between the two tools are considerable: performing an automatic migration taiyuan mobile number database lead to compatibility issues and other inconveniences both now and in the future.

However, once again, this will depend on your current use and planned use of your analytics tool. If you're looking to start from scratch or don't have a lot of data to migrate , this can be a good option to save time and resources.

Other aspects to take into account when migrating
Google Analytics 4 introduces a new account structure , in which views disappear and give way to the aforementioned flows .
At least for now, the way it measures data is different from that used in Universal Analytics. This, if not taken into account, can lead to confusion when comparing, analyzing, and using the collected data.
The tool doesn't allow you to enter filters , so you'll need to discard those used in Universal Analytics. The only filter shared between both tools will be the internal traffic filter .
