Animated GIFs and Compatibility: Why Inserting Them into an amazon database Can Be a Good Idea

Difficulty level:
Marketers are constantly looking for ways to optimize their email campaigns: whether it's copy, design, or uix, every new trick to stand out in the recipient's inbox and then drive attention into your message is vital.

Recently, more and more marketers have become convinced that adding the right amount of interactivity to their DEMs would certainly increase engagement.

Let's start from the beginning. What is a GIF?
The GIF ( Graphics Interchange Format) format identifies a type of images first developed by CompuServe in 1987. It has two fundamental characteristics:

it can contain a maximum of 256 colors, which makes it generally very light;
It can support animations by playing two or more images in a custom sequence.
Thanks to the universal support that GIFs enjoyed from the very beginning, the format became very popular in the early years of widespread Internet use.

Much has changed since the 90s, however, and today the GIF is enjoying a revaluation that brings back memories of uncoordinated and excessively colorful drawings. Resurrected by under construction banners or playful smileys, the use of GIFs is being revalued precisely for the creation of more engaging and complete email campaigns.
