On a 'social' intranet, social has a different meaning than on the internet. is not the environment. Inside is not outside. The needs and rules in the organization are therefore not the same as those we apply when communicating to - and increasingly with - the environment. It is therefore a good question why within the communication sector most plans with social media in internal communication have been copied 1 on 1 from marketing - which focuses mainly on campaigns in that environment?

It is also interesting to observe at what point during discussions about social intranet the key word interaction is mentioned, or participation , or collaboration for that matter. And it is downright interesting to hear that collaboration is not always automatically considered as an interaction process for communication consultants . Or even something that (the) Communications (department) wants to get involved in(!).

Communications consultants often prefer to write journalistic stories about lithuania phone number list collaboration and connection, rather than supporting digital collaboration processes and the associated connections with communication policy. Because the latter is something completely different from what communication people are taught in training and have been used to doing for 25 years.

And with the advent of 'social' communication technology, content production – such as writing – is no longer a unique selling point for communication professionals.
