Nothing new under the sun? How about an intensification, intimization and addiction that is unparalleled in history! The social media craze is very inconvenient in this time of crisis. We really have better things to do than be mobile social via all kinds of crap apps. To really benefit from social media, we must first deal with it cautiously and focused. Less instinctively and impulsively. This is now starting to receive more and more attention. Messages about the Back Side, the Dark Side, the Flip Side, the Nasty Side, the Other Side and the Ugly Side of Social Media follow each other in rapid succession.

(Business) economics: forms of Financial Deficit .
The two are of course closely related. Instead of the usual term Attention Economy, we are increasingly seeing the concept of Attention Deficit Economy . Communication and culture cannot be seen separately. Instinctive social media addiction in this context leads to a lazy Attention Economy , a superficial Experience Economy and the bankruptcy of the Knowledge Economy . It seems obvious, but this realization is only now really starting to dawn. This is evidenced by the contribution of Forrester boss George Colony at LeWeb 2011 , early December. A Social Business – thanks to IBM – and Culture, we would like to add immediately, is social down to the capillaries, but then focused. In both our business and our culture we must be very aware of what we are doing.
