OpenAI introduced a voice conversation feature for ChatGPT a while back. This allowed you to talk to an AI bot by speaking prompts, and ChatGPT would also speak out the responses. Now, the company has added another similar feature — reading aloud.
What is Read Aloud for ChatGPT? With Read Aloud, conversations between you and ChatGPT are still in text. But once the AI bot responds, you can have it read the response out loud. This is perfect for situations where you can’t speak to ChatGPT, but you can hear it speak its responses hello, headphones!
The feature is being rolled out across both iOS and Android apps and the web, and works with GPT-3.5 and GPT-4. However, it is not available to free ChatGPT users. ChatGPT uses one of five voices featured in voice conversations to speak and read your messages; you can choose the voice you want.
Use Read Aloud in Mobile App
