Knowing how to find a device's hardware ID can be useful for a number of reasons—like when your users come to you asking, "What's my HWID?" or when you're taking an inventory of your IT assets. Let's look at the different methods for checking your HWID on your device.
Using Device Manager
One of the easiest ways to check your hardware ID is to use the Device Manager. Here's how you can do it:
Press Windows+X on your keyboard and select Device Manager norway telegram data from the menu that appears.
In the Device Manager window, expand the category of the hardware component you want to check. For example, if you want to check the HWID of your network adapter, expand the Network Adapters category.
Right-click on a specific hardware device and select Properties from the context menu.

The hardware ID of the selected device will be displayed in the Value field.
Using the command line
Another way to check your hardware ID is to use the command line. Follow these steps:
Open a command prompt by pressing Windows+R, typing "cmd" and pressing Enter.
In the command prompt window, type the following command and press Enter: "wmic bios get serial number"
The hardware ID, also known as the serial number, will be displayed on the screen.
