6 habits and techniques that will help you stay motivated and driven to create great social media content
Anyone who embarks on the path of self-employment knows that without dedication you never start anything and without consistency you never finish anything. You always need to try and jump out of your comfort zone, learn and grow.
The same goes for consistency in creating content for social media. Writing should become a routine that, with consistency and practice over time, you bring to the point where you create content with ease and great joy.
Start by making small changes to your workday and track your progress. This will give you a sense of how to organize your time so that you can easily complete all the tasks and commitments you set for yourself at the beginning of the week.
1. FOCUS ON ONE TASK AND SEE IT THROUGH
If you want to be more consistent in your content creation - or anything in life - stop multitasking. Focus on one task at a time. Doing multiple things at once is unproductive and wastes too much valuable time.
Planning your work week (or work day) in advance is extremely helpful .
Set yourself a maximum of 3 tasks each day and take 20-40 minutes for each one. Then focus only on that task. This way you will start to introduce a new routine into your workday. Over time, you will notice that you complete your goals much faster.
2. MAKE A PLAN BEFORE YOU START
Planning will save you time. Once you have an idea of what you are going to accountants mailing lists write about, write down all the details that you still need to do in relation to this content. (which images you will use, videos you want to record, where you will publish the content...).
3. CREATE A SCHEDULE
Create a schedule where you plan out time to create content. For example, if you want to become a better writer and write an article twice a week, you will need to practice writing more often. Plan out time each day to write for at least 30 minutes.
Practice makes perfect if the master practices.
4. STICK TO YOUR SCHEDULE
If you want to create a routine for writing quality content , it's important to stick to a schedule. Every week, look at your meetings and other commitments on your calendar and set aside time to create content. Make it one of your priorities.
5. PLAN AHEAD
Planning ahead is very helpful. Write down quarterly and monthly goals so you know what content you want to create and by when. Having quarterly and monthly goals written down will also make it easier to stick to the schedule you set.
6. MAKE CHECKLISTS
By continuously recording the journey from idea to completion, you will create your own personal checklists that will help you do certain things faster and easier in the future.
For example, if you are writing an article, your checklist might look like this:
Find and read research on the topic and take notes.
SEO/target keywords.
Draft text.
Text for the article.
Pictures.
Article publication.
Checklists will help you automate content creation.
