Question: Ms. Asgodom, how important are your networks to you?
Sabine Asgodom: I think there are three levels of networking that are sensible and useful - and fun: on the one hand, formal networks such as professional associations or interest groups, on the second level, social media, and on the third level, the informal personal network, i.e. the connection to many people that you get to know in the course linkedin data of your life. The American psychologist Christopher Petersen answers every question about what psychology is all about: "Other people matter!" And I am also convinced of this: "Other people are important." Networking is the basis for a fulfilled life.
Question: How do you network, what is your personal style?
Sabine Asgodom: I have always found it easy to make contact with people. I am simply open and curious about people. I find them fascinating and enjoy hearing their stories. And I have always particularly enjoyed connecting the interesting people I know with each other. I think I really do know hundreds (thousands?) of people that I can recommend or introduce. Incidentally, I believe that networking requires an open, free spirit and a clear attitude. Only then can I approach other people with good spirit.
