Thus, the correct interpretation to make for these percentages is that of the total keywords analyzed for each country, in Spain 7.01% manage to earn a FS, in Mexico the figure rises to 11.38% and in Colombia it is 10.32%.

In this case we see how the previous percentages are even lower.

Google Featured Snippets - Mobile Percentages
The 10% limit is not reached in any of the countries, which seems to indicate that it is more difficult to achieve this type of format when it comes to mobile devices.

How does our subject matter expert interpret this?

One hypothesis that seems plausible is that featured snippets depend to a certain extent on the CTR they register from users.

Even when selecting one answer as optimal over others, we have found that Google can alternate between two different results to display as featured, perhaps to measure the CTR and post-search behavior of the user to decide which to display.

We know that the CTR of organic results on mobile is usually lower than on desktop.

This could explain why a certain number of queries do not have a sufficiently homogen dubai state name list eous click-through behavior for Google to be able to deduce which result should be displayed as highlighted.

On the other hand, a certain percentage of searches that Google may interpret as “local” could prioritize the presentation of the “local pack” over the featured result, which could be shown for the same search performed on a desktop.

Let's now move on to a more detailed analysis of other country-by-country data.

Specific data extracted from the SEMrush study on Google's zero position in Spain
The first data table that we are going to see for Spain analyses which word begins the best positioned questions in Google in terms of position 0.

We must take into account that the number of keywords that manage to position for each of these question words logically varies, not all are searched to the same extent although they all start from the same global base that we mentioned before (1.7 million for both devices).

Google Featured Snippets - Types of questions in Spain
Having clarified the above, we see that in both the desktop and mobile versions, questions that begin with “what” get a good number of keywords (5,321 and 8,623 respectively) that in turn attract featured snippets, 27.31% in the desktop version and a little more in the mobile version, which reaches 28.08%.

As with the “what” questions, the trend in the “where” question is confirmed for both search devices and shows that among the keywords analyzed on desktop (1,756) and mobile (2,479), a not so high percentage of them manage to reach position 0.
