Google Algorithm Update – Penguin 2.0

Post by shukla7789 »

Penguin 2.0 is here and as confirmed by Matt Cutts on his blog , at least 2.3% of searches in English will be affected. Of course, this does not “exclude” other languages, since the scope of this update is for everyone and will vary according to “the degree of spam”.

The truth is, and in light of all this fuss we are faced with today after the already announced update, that this is not the first update that the penguin has received. If we want to be faithful to counting accurately, this would be the fourth of the updates.

Penguin 1 : April 24, 2012
Penguin 2: May 26, 2012
Penguin 3: October 5, 2012
Penguin 4 (Penguin 2.0): May 22, 2013

As we can see from the dates, it is not the first (nor do I think it will be the last). What is finland number dataset is that updates one and two were essentially the same, just minor changes that meant little or nothing to those who had already been hit by the first one. Perhaps this is why update number four is creating so much talk and creating so many expectations and doubts among SEOs and webmasters around the world.

Penguin 2.0 and its social media buzz
On the evening of May 22, 2013, the announcement was made of what had been rumored for weeks, and thanks to the conversation on Twitter between Matt and the well-known Jaime Dodd we were able to confirm (and why not say it, wait).
