Summary of the new features of the social network that you should not miss

Post by Dimaeiya333 »

Let's travel through the land of new features offered by social networks once again! More than ever, all platforms are betting on the short video format pioneered by TikTok, which continues to grow in popularity. 3D avatars, NFTs and cryptocurrency, the Meta group is striving to be at the forefront of the web. Twitter should offer a new feature to its users soon. In short, the various social networks do not stop innovating to satisfy their users and maintain their hegemony. We summarize all the news from the last few weeks.

Instagram offers the possibility of converting stories into Reels
Instagram continues to push its Reels format to the max in order to face the huge competition that TikTok represents . In this regard, Instagram has just introduced its brand new option that allows its users to transform their highlights into Reels . The process then allows users to sync their old stories with music, thus offering a totally new way of creating Reels content.

Although the option is not yet available to everyone, it confirms Instagram’s desire to continue to put more and more emphasis on the video format and, in particular, on Reels, as Adam Moseri already stated last December : risk managers email database “ We are going to focus on video and consolidate all our video formats around Reels”. Creating longer Reels ( up to 90 seconds ) should also be possible very soon. So let’s stay tuned!

Twitter experiments with "articles" for long posts
Great news for Twitter! Although the social network has maintained a character limit for its tweets for years, it seems that Twitter is now working on a new feature that will allow users to post “ Twitter articles ” without having to respect the 280-character limit that is currently imposed.

In 2017, Twitter had already increased its character limit from 140 to 280, but the social network now seems to want to go further in the coming weeks in order to offer Twitter users more flexibility to share their ideas on the social network.

At the time of writing, it is impossible to get around the 280-character limit set by Twitter, except by creating a "thread" which consists of piling up tweets one below the other. However, this feature has a limit, as only the first tweet is directly visible to users.

Things could change soon, as a spokesperson for the social network announced in a tweet that new information about Twitter articles would soon be revealed. For the moment, little information has leaked and we only know that Twitter articles should offer relatively classic formatting possibilities such as
