Last Friday I was excited to attend the 12th Euroecom Conference, which took place under the theme “New digital tools and their use in the company.”
It was especially pleasant to listen to Genís Roca (Managing Partner of Roca Salvatella), for his presentation on “Digital Skills, a factor of competitiveness for companies”, under the evolutionary axis of technologies and how each generation adapts and adopts these technologies.
Also to Gaby Castellanos (Executive Director of SrBurns zalo data and President of the Interactive Club and the Spanish section of the Social Media Club), who with simple and concrete examples demonstrated that social media is accessible, measurable and that, with a good strategy and correct management, positive results can be achieved.
The presentation by Montse Penyarroya (Executive Director of Internet Project Consulting) and Juan José Pérez (Partner of J2M Consultores) focused on Digital marketing legislation: 22 answers about the legal framework on the Internet. With a dynamic presentation, where Montse asked the questions and Juan José gave the answers, the topic that can usually be tedious ended up being interesting and clearing up several everyday doubts regarding the publication of content or databases.
Ricardo Baeza Yates (Director of Yahoo! Research Labs in Barcelona and Santiago, Xile), was the last to present his paper, prior to the round table, on the topic: Internet Trends: Present and Future of the Web . A presentation radically different from the others, with all the slides in English, and which mainly focused on Yahoo's work to index the more than 230 million websites (information from October 2009), its research and new tools.
