Tourism: choosing your destination based on a movie

Post by sohanuzzaman56 »

Although the cool wind that still blows these days indicates otherwise, the calendar shows that summer is approaching and that is why the inboxes are already starting to flood with offers, packages, must-sees, bargains, 2×1 and others. If you are interested in cinema, you could choose your destination for this next vacation according to places where movies were filmed , guided by Movieandgo, Filmaps or Moviehaku .

cinema

Movieandgo defines itself as a thematic social network in chinese overseas america number data Spanish (the company is from Barcelona), for film and TV destinations. More than 1,100 users can discover, save and create places where films and TV series were filmed. More than 4,100 destinations and 18,000 photographs will surely convince you of your next tourist-cinema visit. The website also has a section dedicated to travel offers to destinations related to film . Movieandgo wants to encourage travel to “film locations”. The website has a map of destinations and information sheets that show the exact location, descriptions of the scene, opinions, photographs and videos. And two ways to search : by destination or by film or series . Did you know that an episode of Lost was filmed in a bar in Barcelona ?

Filmaps is a website (available in Catalan, Spanish and English) where film buffs can spend time discovering the places where the most famous films in history have been filmed. Filmaps is a Google Maps mashup created by Sergi Villaubí together with David Boix. The website currently has more than 4000 locations corresponding to more than 1470 films . Users of the website can comment on the film profiles and also participate in the community .

Moviehaku is a social network for movies that combines user participation with information about people and movies to create relevant relationships. The site is tailored to each user's needs and can be used to find information, view statistics, leave opinions, discover new movies, remember old movies or meet other users who share the same tastes in movies. An interesting section is the statistics on the cinematic evolution of a given actor or actress , according to the votes of the community's users. I searched for Brad Pitt and his peak is in «Fight Club» (1999), with 8.6 points . (I don't think I'm that much of a movie buff, I didn't even know the movie!)

New options for choosing your next tourist destinations, or discovering places in your city that you didn't know about, thanks to cinema.
