Radio, press, television, Internet . if the ranking of media perceived as the most reliable has not changed for 30 years, their credibility rate has reached sad records this year, despite the small increase last year.
Radio remains the most credible media (50%; -6 points) followed by the written press (44%; -8 points) and television , credible since 2004 (38%; -10 points).
This lack of trust in the media is partly explained by the nigeria cell phone number list perception of the independence of journalists. nearly 1 in 7 French people think that journalists do not resist pressure from political parties and those in power – a new damning record – and 62% think that they do not resist pressure from money.
Very worryingly, 23% of respondents justify aggression towards journalists compared to 32% who condemn it.
"We have moved from a critique of the media to a critique of journalists," notes Jean-Marie Charon, a media sociologist and associate researcher at the EHESS. " Before, we criticized the relationship/link with power. Today, it is the relationship with the elites that is being singled out. It is a problem of competence, certain social classes do not have the impression of speaking as equals."
