At the end of working with the link profile of competitors, it is important to understand when and which anchors to place. Since the analyzed top of competitors does not have enough data on dynamics and anchor list, let's consider another, more interesting top from this point of view.
Let's take an example from the top for the fairly chile telegram data competitive query "best trail cameras" and the website
Let's see how they place anchor and non-anchor links - open the "Anchor" report in Ahrefs in the "Inbound Links" section and see the following picture (your sorting of anchors may differ from mine):
Anchors Report for the Site
Next, we unload the anchors and sort them by date of appearance, starting with the earliest date:
Unloading site anchors
The screenshot shows that the optimizer does not immediately place direct anchors, but uses anchorless and diluted anchors.
It is also worth noting that column "C" indicates the number of domains with such an anchor (1), and not links (2).
If you need to examine the appearance time of each individual link from each domain, you can do this in the Anchors report as follows:
Detailing of site anchors
To summarize
As a rule, you need to understand the basic dynamics, and you don't need to investigate that deeply. In this case, given that the sites are promoted quite competently in the top and the "anchor-anchorless" dynamics are mostly adequate and are followed by all players, I would recommend using the dynamics of the analyzed site, looking back at your linking capabilities.
