Azolla. Azolla, a type of fern, is considered one of the most common types of floating plants. It is affordable and unpretentious. Azolla is a small plant with small leaves. In summer, the leaves turn red. The plant does not bloom. In winter, it should be placed in a jar of water, and in April-May, it should be planted in a pond. The plant reproduces by dividing the bush. Azolla is suitable for small ponds. It reproduces quickly, forming a carpet of small pale green leaves on the surface of the water.
Marsh flower (Nymphoides peltata). This is a plant with small, up to 5 cm, round leaves with wavy edges. The leaves are dark green, sometimes with brown spots, and outwardly resemble water lily leaves. The singapore mobile database blooms from July to August with yellow flowers that form a small inflorescence. Marsh flower grows well both in partial shade and in the sun. It grows strongly. The plant should be planted at a depth of 60 cm. It is a frost-resistant and hardy plant.
Hydrocharis. Common Hydrocharis or Frog Hydrocharis are usually used to decorate ponds. The plant grows rather poorly and is therefore well suited for small ponds. Hydrocharis blooms with small yellow flowers from July to August. The flowers form small inflorescences. The leaves are round, 3–5 cm in diameter. The plant prefers sunny places. It can withstand not very cold winters. It overwinters at the bottom of the pond. It reproduces by dividing the bush in the summer.
Nyphar. Nyphar is a type of water lily, but has small dark yellow flowers, planted on thick peduncles and located on the surface of the water. Flowering occurs from July to September. Nyphar prefers partial shade and running water.
The small water lily, or dwarf water lily, is especially popular with lovers of artificial ponds. This plant looks good on medium-sized ponds. It has yellow flowers 3 cm in diameter and transparent leaves floating on the surface of the water. Giant water lily is mainly found on sale. Yellow water lily with flowers 8 cm in diameter and a bottle-shaped pistil can also be planted in a pond.
Marsh flower is propagated by dividing the rhizome in late spring or summer.
