Weatherstripping is one of the most common ways people weatherproof their windows. You can buy removable window weatherstripping in foam rubber tubing, solid gaskets, aluminum, or vinyl. Each has its pros and cons. Foam rubber tubing is less expensive but relatively ineffective against more extreme drafts and cold weather. Caulking
Caulk seals windows to surrounding walls and to the glass in door and window frames. Any deterioration in the caulking material can cause air leaks in your home, even if you can't feel them. Over time, holes, cracks, damage, wear and tear can make your home less efficient and, if not corrected, can compromise your windows' structural integrity and energy use.

Check the inside and outside of the windows for any signs of cracks or holes. Use a piece of paper or a flame to find any leaks that might not be visible to the naked eye, then apply caulk to those areas to seal the gaps.

To replace caulk you will need to remove the old caulk with a putty knife or screwdriver/clean and dry the area and then apply new caulk where needed.
